Delete your account

Your data belongs to you. You can permanently delete your account at any time, directly in the app — no email required.

How to delete your account

  1. 1 Open the Things of Mabob™ app on your device.
  2. 2 Tap the Account tab (bottom right).
  3. 3 Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  4. 4 Review exactly what will be deleted and what won't. If you are the only admin of a household that has other members, you'll need to promote another member to admin (or remove the other members) before you can proceed.
  5. 5 Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Permanently delete my account. Your account is removed immediately.
Note about subscriptions: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel any active App Store or Google Play subscription. You must cancel it separately in your device's subscription settings. Deletion only removes your Things of Mabob™ data.

Data from a no-account trial that was never converted Auto-deleted ~30 days after abandonment
App Store / Google Play subscription You must cancel separately

Crash and error reports we send to Sentry to fix bugs are not tied to your account or identity, so they aren't removed by account deletion — they contain only technical diagnostics (error details, app version, device model and OS) and are automatically deleted on Sentry's retention schedule. Bug reports and diagnostic/error logs we keep in our own database are similarly technical (counts, settings, and error codes — never the contents of your items); on deletion we strip the identifiers that link them to you, so they remain only as de-identified debugging records.

The app reports nine counts to Google so we can tell which advertisements brought people here and whether the app is being used — that the app was first opened, that measurement began after install, that a trial was started, that the create-account button was tapped, that an account was created, that an item was created (a count only, never its contents), that a first item was added, that a tenth item was added, and that a subscription was purchased. These are never linked to your account or your email, so there is nothing for account deletion to unlink; they expire on Google's own retention schedule. Deleting the app from your device removes the identifier they were grouped under, and you can stop the reporting at any time beforehand under Preferences → Privacy → Usage measurement. See the privacy policy for detail.

Your rights under GDPR and similar laws

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, California (CCPA), or another jurisdiction with data-subject rights, you have the right to:

Deletion is immediate and irreversible. We do not retain backups of deleted accounts beyond our standard rolling backup window (up to 7 days), after which all data is unrecoverable.

When anyone taps the create-account button, we add an anonymous tally mark — a date, a platform, and an app version, with no identifier of any kind (see the privacy policy). Because nothing connects it to you or your device, there is nothing in it to look up or remove when an account is deleted, and it survives deletion as an unattributable count.

Separately from your account, our marketing website sets advertising cookies in your browser (see the privacy policy). These are not part of your account and are not removed by deleting it — clear them in your browser's settings.
